Current Long Valley status from LVO:

Long Valley Daily Update issued Sep 13, 2007 09:05 PDT Volcanic-Alert Level NORMAL – Aviation Color Code GREEN
The realtime computer system located one small earthquake in the vicinity of Long Valley caldera since the last update at 8:30 AM on September 12. This was a M=1.4 event located just west of Lake Crowley at 8:28 AM on the 13th. Elsewhere, occasional activity continues in the area just south of Yosemite National Park (24 miles WSW of Mammoth Lakes) with yet another M=2.2 earthquake. This one at 1:10 AM on the 13th.

The realtime computer system located no earthquakes in the vicinity of Long Valley caldera since the last update at 8:39 AM on September 11. Elsewhere, sporadic activity continues in the area just south of Yosemite National Park (24 miles WSW of Mammoth Lakes) with another M=2.2 earthquake at 6:17 PM on the 11th.

The realtime computer system located four small earthquakes in the vicinity of Long Valley caldera since the last update at 11:45 AM on September 9. All four were located in the Sierra Nevada south of the caldera and all had magnitudes less than M=2.0. Elsewhere, seven earthquakes September 9 occurred in a cluster beneath Yosemite National Park, six of which had magnitudes of M=2.4 or greater. The largest was a M=2.6 earthquake at 3:00 PM on the 9th.

The realtime computer system located four small earthquakes in the vicinity of Long Valley caldera since the last update at 9:01 AM on September 5. All were located in the Sierra Nevada south of the caldera and all had magnitudes M < 2.0. Elsewhere, sporadic earthquake activity south of Yosemite Valley included four small events, the largest of which was a M=2.2 earthquake at 4:53 PM on the 6th located 23 miles WSW of Mammoth Lakes.

The realtime computer system located five small earthquakes in the vicinity of Long Valley caldera since the last update at 10:26 AM on September 1. All were located in the Sierra Nevada south of the caldera and all had magnitudes less that M=2.0. The largest event in the region was a M=2.2 earthquake at 1:59 PM on Sept. 2 located beneath the volcanic tableland 12 miles north of Bishop.

The realtime computer system located five small earthquakes in the vicinity of Long Valley caldera since the last update on August 29. The events (all magnitude M<2.0) were located in the Sierra Nevada south of the caldera.

The realtime computer system located four earthquakes in the vicinity of Long Valley caldera since the last update on August 28. The largest event was a magnitude M=3.1 located to the south of caldera in the Sierra Nevada ~ 16 km (10 miles) SW of Toms Place near Mount Hopkins. The other three (all M<2.0) were also in the Sierra Nevada south of the caldera.
